![?? Porter Ridge Community, we need you.
It is with profound sadness that we share that one of our Porter Ridge Soccer families suffered the sudden and tragic loss of their father this past weekend.
In moments like these, our values of Courage, Commitment, and Community mean more than ever. This is an opportunity for our Porter Ridge family to surround them with the love, compassion, and support they need during an incredibly difficult time.
A GoFundMe has been established to help the family with funeral and memorial expenses, as well as provide short-term financial support as they navigate the weeks ahead.
If you are able, please consider making a donation. Every contribution, no matter the size, can make a meaningful difference. We also ask that you keep the family in your thoughts and prayers.

![? Player Shoutout: Bradley ?
Sometimes, leadership has nothing to do with what happens on the field.
After Saturday’s game, one of our players shared something that really stood out about Bradley. In a difficult moment, Bradley was the teammate who sat beside him and simply said:
“I’m sorry, man. I guess it’s not your year. But there’s nowhere to go but up.”
Simple words. Powerful message.
The maturity, empathy, and character it takes for a 13-year-old to recognize a teammate’s disappointment and offer those words in the heat of the moment says so much about the kind of person Bradley is becoming.
That’s leadership. That’s being a teammate. And that’s what #CourageCommitmentCommunity is all about.

![⚽ 2026-27 Law Updates: What Players & Families Need to Know
Several Law changes are coming into effect that may impact Classic League matches and potentially tournament play this season.
? Key Updates:
⏱️ 10-Second Substitution Protocol
Players must leave the field promptly during substitutions, with limited exceptions for injury, safety, or security concerns.
? Jewelry & Accessories
The term “jewelry” is now replaced by “accessories.” Safe, non-dangerous accessories may be permitted if securely covered.
✅ Permitted Examples:
• Medical alert bracelets taped flat to the skin
• Religious items worn under the kit and secured
• Soft fabric/rubber wristbands with no hard edges
• Smooth wedding bands, taped over
• Fitness trackers secured under a vest/shirt
• Clear space-holder earrings for new piercings with no sharp edges
❌ Prohibited Examples:
• Earrings or studs — including taped-over earrings
• Rings or bracelets with stones, prongs, or hard edges
• Necklaces or chains that cannot be safely covered
• Smartwatches or watches
? Important: Covering an item does not automatically make it permitted. Dangerous items must be removed entirely.
These updates are important for players, coaches, and parents to understand before match day.

![⚽ PLAYERS PLAY. COACHES COACH. REFS REF. PARENTS SUPPORT.
Ahead of the bulk of our club level games kicking off soon - Here's a few ways to help make every game and training session a positive experience:
Game day is about giving our players the best environment to learn, compete, and grow. ??
? Cheer Positively
Give players the freedom to make decisions, learn from mistakes, and grow. Keep the focus on encouragement!
? Game Day Sidelines
Parents and spectators should sit across from the team benches. Team sidelines are for players and coaches only.
? Stay Off Practice Fields
Please remain off the fields during training. This gives our players and coaches the space they need to focus and develop.
? Bring BOTH Kits
Pack both uniforms for every game, regardless of which kit you expect to wear.
? Keep PlayMetrics Updated
Mark your player's attendance for all practices and games, and update it promptly if plans change.
? RESPECT THE REFEREE
Coaches lead by example. Players respect the officials. Parents and spectators cheer for their team — not against the referee.
? KEEP IT ABOUT THE KIDS
Positive sidelines. Respect for coaches and referees. Space for players to learn, compete, and enjoy the game.
Every player deserves the opportunity to experience soccer in a positive environment. Let's work together to protect that experience and support the people who make the game possible.
